Finding Purpose in the Face of Tragedy and Adversity

What is your purpose in this world?

When life is giving you special treatment, finding purpose becomes easy. Most people who have a positive outlook on life find meaning in their day-to-day routines. Waking up every day means going to an awesome job, taking care of their children, bonding with the community, developing their skills, or just about anything that’s driving them forward.

Unfortunately, that’s not always the case for some people.

Many people suffer from a lack of purpose in their lives because of what they are going through. These people might be suffering from the loss of a loved one, financial crisis, anxiety and depression, drug addiction, or a dysfunctional family. In the face of adversity, it becomes harder to find your purpose in life. People tend to become self-destructive when they don’t have a clear path or direction to walk through.

On the other hand, it is in the face of your greatest adversities where you can find the light at the end of the tunnel.

In the story of Carolyn Anne McMahon’s To Follow a Life After, two brothers found themselves in the middle of an unexpected adventure when they went out to search for answers on the death of their father. What started as a simple mission suddenly unfolded into a series of unfathomable mystery, deceit, love, horror, wisdom, and experiences which will teach them about their past mistakes in life. In this book, one can explore the twists and turns of life and find a purpose in the face of tragedy and adversity.

No one is exempted from the tragedies and adversities of life. We have to go through them so that we can thrive and flourish.

We need to suffer in order to grow.
